The breakfast was great, specially the possibility to use the buffet. The area of the restaurant is very nicely designed.
The whole house was a bit worn, the window frames in the room were extremely rotten and broken. Didn't make a good impression.

Location
Cleanliness - very unclean - room smelt of cigarettes and the bathroom was filthy with dirt around the taps. No duvet and stained blankets.

Without a doubt, it is the front desk staff who make this hotel welcoming. They were a model of professionalism. I can think of several larger and more luxurious hotels who would do well to learn from The Clifton. Good value for money....

There is nothing commendable about this hotel.
The room I stayed in had bed bugs, the management was appaling dealing with my complaints and it is only when I called the Pest Control Unit of Bristol Council that it is an ongoing problem. Appalling, noone should be exposed to this hotel.
